About Us
TSLF is a full service creditors' rights law firm with Offices in New England, New Jersey and Indiana. The firm employs seasoned attorneys, each of whom has twenty-five plus years of experience. Jeffrey A. Schreiber, founder and managing member of the law firm, carries the most prestigious designation established by Martindale Hubbell, an "AV" rating.
TSLF is also rated as an "AV" law firm. The law firm employs some of the most experienced collection professionals and certified paralegals in the collections industry. Our in-house lawyers are admitted to practice law in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York, New Jersey, District of Columbia, and Indiana. We are licensed nationally or alternatively permitted to collect accounts nationally pursuant to attorney exemptions contained in most states.
In addition to our in-house capabilities, the firm has developed a network of affiliated collection lawyers and debt collectors whose philosophies and abilities are parallel with those of the firm. This ensures that clients receive consistent service whether our firm maintains principal or joint responsibility over any particular project. It also enables us to provide clients with a single point of contact for national coverage, thereby eliminating significant expenses and payroll costs.
Our services include, but are not limited to, collections, litigation, judgment registration, post-judgment enforcement and equitable remedies. We also have a nationally recognized bankruptcy department that represents secured lenders and unsecured creditors in consumer and commercial cases.
Since 2005 the firm has served as national collections counsel to Harrah's Entertainment, a global leader in the gaming industry.

In 2005, TSLF, along with three other reputable, national collection law firms, was interviewed by Harrah's to propose a centralized collection and litigation strategy for the world's largest casino gaming operator. The proposals, which varied in strategy, were evaluated by Harrah's top executives, who were looking for a cost effective way to capture lost revenue, while maintaining a positive image with their clients. The other firms' proposals missed the mark because they offered a one dimensional solution. Some were too legal driven, which meant Harrah's would have to wait longer and spend more money to recover defaulted debts. Other firms were merely collection agencies operating under the guise of a law firm; offering little or no legal options to collect claims. TSLF quickly emerged as the only "all in one solution".
TSLF was chosen and began representing Harrah's in the Midwest region. Harrah's was impressed by our performance and decided to centralize its collections function and appointed TSLF as national collections counsel.
This move enabled Harrah's to have a single point of contact for complete national jurisdictional coverage. Not only was this logistically advantageous, but it allowed Harrah's to streamline its process and pare operating expenses. Presently, we represent Harrah's from coast to coast.
The firm has handled over 6,500 claims for Harrah's since December 2005. Some of the largest recoveries have settled without the necessity of litigation. Total recoveries to date exceed $13.6M.
Our affiliated lawyers are comprised of top-shelf attorneys who specialize in collections and related collection litigation. We presently have two associate law firms in each state. Should you have a favorite law firm that you use, we will include them in our network. Either way, you will experience a seamless transition.
With complete national jurisdictional coverage, TSLF stays apprised of local trends and court formalities. This is critical in the ever-changing legal environment in which we operate. Also, it helps us remain compliant with local, regional, state, and federal rules and regulations. When you use TSLF, you will benefit from the resources of a large, national law firm. Yet, you will have a client or project manager who you will always find accessible. It has always been
Mr. Schreiber's rule is that client phone calls must be returned promptly and no later than the day the phone call is received.

RATES
The collections environment is continuously changing. With increasing debtor sophistication and continued FDCPA reform, collections has become a risky and unprofitable practice for many businesses. By engaging TSLF, you will immediately create a significant revenue stream with minimal risk.
- Fees vary by engagement. No matter how simple or complex the claim, TSLF will represent you under a fair contingent fee agreement.
- Miscellaneous costs such as postage, paper products, skiptracing and certain asset and skiptracing reports are some of the expenses covered by TSLF under its contingent fee agreement.
- TSLF offers the first five hours of counterclaim defense at no cost. Each additional hour is billed at a rate not to exceed $350.00 per hour.
Filing fees and service costs are the only expenses not covered under the agreement. The following three options are available for cost and expense reimbursement:
- Cost Account - TSLF maintains a designated cost account funded by the client. The client deposits funds in the client cost account, which TSLF uses to cover approved expenses. Once depleted, TSLF submits a full reconciliation of the account activity and requests that the account be replenished by the client.
- Net - TSLF advances the cost and simply nets reimbursement from the monthly remittance.
- Monthly Billing - TSLF advances costs and invoices you with 30 day payment terms.
